A native of Israel, Adam was born on the mediterranean and raised on the shores of the pacific. Growing up in Los Angeles had it's highs and lows, being raised on classical music as well as The Beatles and Michael Jackson, and don't forget the infamous 92' riots followed by the 94' quake. All facts aside, the real lessons began on the piano at age 7, with a stern piano teacher. This saw the beginning of the need to approach music intuitively. Piano shifted to trombone at 11 and so began the identity of musician throughout adolescence. After eight years of classical training on piano and trombone, enter the guitar at 14. The need for intuition came to an initial peak at for the next 7 years Adam explored the guitar in various genres. Along the way, he noticed the knack for rhythm and acquired a percussion voice at 16. At 20, the decision to attend Musicians Institute in Hollywood after years of playing the guitar saw another peak of intuitive approach causing separation from conventional training and then a burst of creativity ensued once putting the guitar down to pick up the bass.
The decision to go professional at 21 comes with doubt, whether internal or external, but not without courage. By 2006, Adam was performing regularly throughout Southern California with Experimental Rock band, Animatronics, followed by a short tour in Germany with New World Revolution. 2007 to 2009 held the beginnings of Film and Television work, both as bassist and percussionist. Adam also began exploring other genres on bass, performing and touring with Folk-artist Simone White, as well as backing other singer-songwriters in Los Angeles. 2009 to present day has seen a healthy balance of percussion and bass with many different artists and ensembles in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles. Most notably, on percussion with Adam Rudolph's GO: Organic Orchestra, and with San Francisco Bay-area based Balinese-ensemble, Gamelan X.
Currently Adam is based home in Los Angeles, stepping out of his comfort zone and approaching solo-based material for a change, as well as working on collaborative projects that include an exploration in live electronica... more adventures to come.
